My friend has just posted a photo on fb of several of my friends looking soaking wet and fed up with the caption that Blue have gone home.  I assume that means they didn't end up performing.  Glad I'm on holiday or I would probably be stuck there with them!

Sorry to say there's a fair proportion of my soul finding this all very funny. Just when you think it can't get any worse.

I doubt you are the only one with a bit of schadenfreude Jan. But I do feel a bit for the people who wanted to be there, and also fear our guaranteed 10 year 300K per annum deal may not see light of day.

Yep! Bad news for Swindon! Just before biggest acts of Five, Blue & Pete. Been off a hour now. Everyone going home!

From my sister, whose there.

How long until somebody blames the power cut and the weather on the board?

Precisely Batch.  Obviously nobody can predict the weather, but with the poor ticket sales and subsequent reduction of prices, who in their right mind would buy tickets for any future events?

According to fb, people are now leaving.  Not good, because I would imagine people will want a refund.  Who ends up out of pocket, will it be the club?

I assume they must have some kind of insurance in place to cover this, as a refund to all is likely surely?

Well the power cut may be County Ground induced. And STFC did rent the ground out. And I did just see someone who may have been Jed legging it towards the County Ground Hotel with 50 pences spilling out his pockets*.

* this is not true in any sense of the word. For a start the 'leccie' meter at the County Ground takes sixpences.

I'm quite sure I read somewhere that they do have insurance. I may be mistaken though.

Probably. I saw Morrissey at the Oasis a few years ago, he fucked off after one or two songs and everyone got a refund.

That's unlike him.

Was it over meat? Or something reasonable?

The poor lamb was ill. I think that was pretty much the last straw when it came to my Moz fandom.

Well I guess if he was really ill then not much to be done. I like his early stuff, but he can be such a female front bottom.
