I was looking at past pre-seasons, there was one recently we played eight games, won seven and drew the other.

That was 2010/11.

Ergo, don't panic too much with how things have gone.

And predictably, it was Gerry Stilton. Thank god he's no longer on here. Total retard.
You mean that isn't a parody account?

Unfortunately not. Ex-copper. Gives a whole new meaning to "special constable".

An ex-copper? Really? So at one point he was partly responsible for 'our' safety?

Oh my. It hardly fills one with confidence. Makes me glad I'm not living there anymore.

Talking of public safety, what was the outcome to the little local difficulties in Thailand a short while ago?

I was thinking that the other day. That pre-season saw us sign the 'experienced' Michael Rose and David Prutton and the 'cutting edge' that was Thomas Dossevi scored 2 in a 2-1 win over Championship opposition.

On that basis I'm off to stick a tenner on us going up as champions  Cheesy

It's actually an improvement.

Military Coups in Thailand tend not mean the same thing as they do elsewhere because the people that take over are often more benevolent than the greedy cunts they replace. I'm confident they'll hand it back to the voters in due course but I'm in no rush for them to do so. Reforms need to be made and they should take their time to get it right so it sticks.

From friendlies, to ex-coppers and then Military coups...... It reminds me of the TEF of old.

Apologies for going off on a tangent.

Bit of a tenuous link there

Last night was calling out for a direct forward with pace and we bring Barker on.Why the fuck is Storey on loan ,he is better than all our forwards ,Cooper don't like him so he farms him out .talk about cutting your nose off.

No need to apologise.

Going off on random tangents has always been embraced on the TEF as far as I can remember. It leads to discussions that may otherwise never have been had.... Although it is, potentially, a political tangent which is something that I'd be he first to moan about  Smiley

He had that one game (as sub) against Villa but has really done jack since then when given a few chances.

He may well turn it round at Pompey and come back and impress.

Would have thought Williams is fairly similar in style to Storey, albeit he still seems to be in a bit of a trough

That's OK, but bit late Red Frog and myself were on about obtuse and reflex angles about 4 pages back; maybe a sine of the times.

Barker is shit, Williams is a waste of a shirt IMO leaving smith who is ok ,so yes as an all round player he is the best we have got and would make us more creative and dangerous.
