so now mostly everyone here as seen the town play...what would be our best line up to face forest?

not to defend myself before this, i have only seen town once since last season so don't know how good nicholau and shakes really are.

Evans

Jenkins Ifil O Hanlon Nicholas

Shakes Whalley  Nicholau

Roberts

Fallon Cureton

Subs: Thorpe, Bulman, Collins, Pook, Smith.

Roberts behind the front two, giving him the chance to run at defenders and feed the wings and to pass through to cureton. curo to play off fallon, then shakes and nicholau to spread out when needed to spread the play.
If Jenkins is still injured then bring in Collins and put reeves on the bench.

another question too...where the hell does jack smith play? even from watching him for 90 minutes i don't know where he was playing!  Soapy Tit Wank

i never noticed he was on the pitch i thought he was that bad.

i would like to see Reeves play saturday with O'Hanlon as he was the only player to organise them last night.

Nicholas & Roberts deserve a start again and definitely Nicholau and Shakes as they played well when they came on.

Fallon defo to start but not sure out of Thopre or Cureton i would choose.

i was going to put reeves in but problem is how long would he last against johnson and dobie?

he could organise, but wouldn't be able to keep up that well.

You do realise that Johnson has been on the bench for the first 2 games of the season?.

The 3-4-3 looked superb but we can't start with that against Forest or we will be ripped apart.  Expect a high-scoring game seeing as Forest also lost 3-2 last night, although that might be the kiss of death.

Personally I'd play (sticking to a 4-4-2) fitness permitting:

GK:  Rhys Evans
DR:  Patrick Collins
DL:  Jack Smith
DC:  Alan Reeves
DC:  Jerel Ifil
MR:  Ricky Shakes
ML:  Nicholas Nicholau
MC:  Gareth Whalley
MC:  Sean O'Hanlon
FC:  Tony Thorpe
FC:  Rory Fallon

Subs:
Bulman
Jenkins
Pook
Roberts
Cureton

This is making the assumption that Miglioranzi won't be fit for Saturday.  If he is, then I would certainly rush him back into the team.  I feel that Reeves' leadership is what is needed at this stage, and certainly one of him and Jenkins needs to be in the team.  I was quite impressed with Collins last night, contrary to some, and thought he looked good with a ball at his feet.

I would also stick one of O'Hanlon and Jenkins in midfield to toughen it up as Pook is pretty anonymous.  O'Hanlon edges it as I thought he was better in midfield at Bournemouth than Jenkins was at Luton last season in a 4-5-1 system.

That seems a very attacking line up to me,the game could finish 3-5 Smiley If migs is back i  personally would favour 4-4-2 line up,drop cureton and play roberts with fallon. But if migs isn't back maybe jack smith could play centre mid-field Smiley .I thought smith was a defender so[if he is]its the usual kingy, playing players out of position.

walrus, in my opinion, im hoping jenkins is fit to play instead of collins, cause i thought he was crap!! so yeh, if anyone out of jenkins and o hanlon i would say o hanlon.

heres a thought, how about roberts in CM? could run forward with the ball, distribue to the wings? have long range shots? and is a tough tackelr? just the fact of him going back and defending...

We are seriously lacking in the cental midfield area

we have Pook, Wells, Migz , Whalley (who is more of a wide player - why have we got so many??)

and thats it!

Kingy get onto Fergie ... and get us a year long loan .. United must have a player of some quality there ... get down on bended knees if poss ... we need that midfielder ..

Also go to Sunderland and get Leadbitter on loan! :scribe:
