Eastcott Hotel

Now you're talking.

Down the years I've used a variety of establishments...quite a few of which no longer exist.

In no particular chronological order.....Swindon Bowling Club....Queenstown Club....The Merlin...CGH....Springers Bar in Wiltshire Hotel...Lamb and Flag....Rolling Mills...The Grove...Beehive....The White House....The Affair

My original prematch routine was

11 in Chris Graham's bookie shop in Stratton for an hour then into The Crown for An hour.

Taxi to the old BR club til 2.45 then stagger down Shrivenham Road to the ground

Evening games consisted of The Oxford until me and my brother were in early when a hoard of Oxford fans charged in and we got battered. It was the CGH after that

This. Town first for a big game then Tap. Used to always be CGH from about 1.30 onwards, don't even bother getting a quick one in there at 2.45 anymore.

If by bus it's The Sir Dan and then the CGH.

If I drive it's Queenstown and then CGH.

Always used to be for home games... Meet in Savoy at 9, down to Dans at 10:30, possibly pop up to Zen's about 12, if not the globe. Then the Tap or Cricket Club about 2. Maybe to Legends at 2:45 for a swift one!

Used to be CGH, but now as I drive from Milton Keynes, It's Stop off at services for a quick costa coffee, park up at tesco for a wee, meet the old man for a quick beer in either the merlin or legends. have one final beer at the moonrackers when I drop the old man home, and drive back.

The days of not being able to walk out the CGH are now sadly behind me Sad
