Had a good day at the Test yesterday - if a bit expensive (£4.20 a pint). Really feel for those attending today. Have had some of that myself in the past.
Going to Worcester/Lancs tomorrow.

£4.20 a pint you expect in the smoke. It was the same at Durham though. Now that is a travesty!

Flat pitch. Shit weather tomorrow. Might as well call this a draw now!

I had a flutter on England at 10/1 at tea to knock these off!
Think I have a half chance here.

Especially given the way KP's playing at the moment

It's been noticable the last ten mins or so Michael Clarke has been in the umpires ear wanting to go off.

Watching different game to me. He set this all up. Aussies were never gonna get 10 wickets. He set England a tricky but achieve able target

Agree with that. A disgrace. At least Bucknor kept them on in Pakistan all those years ago.

Absolutely splattered the Aussies when the pressure was on again. Means as much as 4-0

For the last 15 mins he was in Aleem Dar's ear about the light, because he knew they were not going to win and he didn't want to go down in history to lose 4-0. Shane Warne was having a dig at Cook and questioning if England will go for it, and would they gamble to lose the test to win it. At the end of the day, Clarke gambled, but when it got tight and they were likely to lose, he wanted to get off asap. When the light meter came out he was harassing the umpires to see what the light meters said, when it was down to the umpires.

Could the umpires have refused the light meter?

I supposed they could've but Clarke was in Dar's ear regarding the light.

My understanding is that they had set a precedence earlier in the series on meter readings so they were bound by the laws to stop play. Farce it is though I agree

True, which is why I asked if the umpires could have refused the meter. They could've then just said play on.
