.....The highest opening weekend crowds since 1963 have welcomed the start of the new Coca-Cola Football League season......from official site.

  Not at the CG they don't... on August 24th 1963 the crowd for the opener v Scunthorpe was 18 451... 4 straight wins later and the visit of Man City,  saw not only a 3-0 win but a gate of 28,173, not exceded for 6 years.

Swindon never seem to obey the trends...  Our attendences are currently dependent on general feelings on King at the time.  Currently, there seems to be little confidence, although not really through King's doings - more through lack of funds.

when swindon win three on the trot, everyones a swindon fan..then we lose to stockport or someone like that and most are man u and liverpool fans!

Am I right in thinking, in this division half of the opening day attendence was at Nottm Forest

 Well there was 20 odd at Nottm....16 at Swansea....so I'd have thought not.

24,000 at forest, 16,000 at swansea, 15,000 at shitty and then don't forget the championship. 20,000 plus at leeds, hull, ipswich, southampton etc
