That was both heartbreaking and brilliant. It was a superb header and we played really well. I applauded Robinson when he came back to our end. I may have been on my own though.

Play-offs delivering brilliant matches every year, the best of English club football imo. Helps that Bournemouth are on the ropes the cheating fuckers.

While the POs have created some treasured football memories, I hate them as a concept. I’d much rather have the top four or even five go up automatically than see a team finishing behind others in a regular season go up because they win a mini competition with a rip-off final.

Excellent that Pox and Bournemouth have fluffed it though!

Possibly, but not necessarily. I think most of us have just come to accept the POs for what they are and understand from the start of the season that our team could finish behind the automatic promotion places on goal difference but fail in the POs to a team that finished the regular season with ten fewer points. It’s crap but there it is.

The recent ESL shenanigans have reinvigorated my belief that success and failure should be based on merit according to the basic concept of the competition. If we could start football from scratch, I’d choose not to have play offs.

I used to like the idea of 3rd & 4th place teams playing 3rd & 4th from bottom in the league above which seems fairer but not sure if the gap is too big now between the leagues

Latest in a long line of lower league clubs who purchased promotions.  Blackburn, Fulham and Wigan before them.  The petro-dollar 'fairy tale'.  Withdraw the intravenous cash injection, and the subject returns to their natural level.  League 1 being about right for Bournemouth.

Watching Hereford vs Hornchurch in the trophy final is far more entertaining than watching Swindon under Sheridactyl.

Both these teams would have given us a good game.

And the future is certain
Give us time to work it out
