Whats the fucking point of supporting a football club if your going to give up once we're succesfull?

I was 3 years old when we were in the PL last, 11 when we got relegated from the championship. I'd quite like to see us up there again.

I think fatbasher's point is that following your team in the PL has become a massive pain in the arse, that overshadows substantially the fact your team has made it to the highest league, not least because of cost...and there's all the other bullshit that comes with it. It's not an unreasonable point to make.

That Vicky on twitter was saying last night that we shouldn't go up The Championship yet.

Unfuckingbelievable.

I see her point. I think if we went up now, we'd struggle and possibly come straight back down unless we had decent investment.

I don't disagree with that. On the other hand, we won't get a better chance of going up than this. If we don't go up this time around, it could be a long season next year and it could be a long time before we find ourselves in this position again. I've said before, I'm desperate to see us back in the Championship before I die of old age. On that basis, I hope to fuck we do go up this season.

Which would be needed if we got promoted next year or the one after that etc.
Delaying success is daft. You take it whenever you can get it.

I'm hoping that we avoid the play offs, then I don't have to consider whether to come back from Oz early.
