I've a couple of suits bought pre-weightloss which are now too big for me.

They're not exactly Savile Row but they still cost me a few bob. Rather than stumping out for a couple of new suits, is it worth getting them tailored/taken in? If so, any recommendations?

A belt for the trousers and a bulldog clip for the jacket?

Wait a couple of years and they'll fit you again.

The bulldog clip might get me funny looks in the office.

Wait a couple of years and they'll fit you again.

How cynical.

Couldn't you get a couple of £20 suits if they are for work? I know of a seamstress in Calne who could probably take them in.

Jensons in Gorse Hill (just past the co-op going North) does tailoring - the bloke is a bit strange but I've used him successfully for this in the past.  (No Jenson's Buttons jokes please)

There are a couple of tailors in Rodbourne a few doors down from Ron's Hardware stores, might be worth asking them what it would cost

I'm not exactly a designer snob, but there's no way you'd catch me in one of those Tesco value £20 shiny polyester specials.

Ta, Nev. I'll have to pop in and see what they suggest.

Marks and Sparks actually do some great cheap suits. Less than 50 quid for something machine-washable and that looks like a suit 100 quid more expensive? I'll take that.

A cheapo suit isn't probably going to fit very well anyway.
