Anyone else getting a bit worried about how unstable it feels our club is?

Not yet. PDC wants to spend spend spend. At some point the board have to say no. That doesn't necessarily mean things are unstable.

Unless you mean regarding PDC. He is unstable by nature. I think deep down we all know it will blow up eventually.

Embargo update: Fee paid, wage cap blown.

I get more nervous waiting for Di Canio's post-match interview these days than i do waiting for the end of the bloody games.  Head Hurts

Fees paid just over wage cap which is why we have the embargo.  Looks like we will have to sell

Pretty sure he said "I'm not god, I'm a very good manager, but I'm not god"

Ah, ok. My deciphering wasn't quite up to scratch.

The post match interviews and announcement of the line-up is as dramatic (or in Tuesday's case, more dramatic) than the game itself nowadays! 3 or 4 changes per match (not enough options Paolo?), potential national news....

A good win, 5 wins from 6, and thank God Tuesday is now a distant memory.

We can only bring in loans at the moment anyway, so he can't do much till January. I expect it to be sorted by then, we will get by.

Embargo is not because of not paying the tribunal fee, its because of the FA rules w/r/t wage cap and transfer fees. The timing of the tribunal did not help the club.

PDC said something about another player that he wanted to get in to cover injuries. He commented on the fact that it wasn't a lot of money and the club are getting big gates both home and away that would cover the cost (from context)

Missed all of that game today, very pleased to see we got the 3 points.

Glad Collins got his first league goal.

What worries me is the board don't know how to say No to Di Canio. We have more than enough quality on our books to do well in this league. This win or bust scenario with a loose cannon running the show is more than making me a bit nervous about my club.

He doesn't appear to understand the concept of a budget does he.

Aaah further details on embargo.

Club thought we needed to pay Collins and Troy fees over 24 months, but we had to pay immediately. Hence budget blown.

It's hardly a revelation that we have a large squad and salary.

This news is nowt to worry about, stop your fretting peeps. Whether we are spending too much is a genuine concern but this embargo is not.

I agree with you there, but the news of an embargo surely indicates we are spending too much, right?
