That would infuriate me.

Much like when you have Mcs, eg. McStay - now his shirt would say 'McSTAY' why does the c get to be lowercase when the t, a and y are all caps?

I don't know the name of it, there's 10's of thousands of fonts out there.

Not one I've used myself, but I think it's in one of the type foundry books at work - Font Font, T26, Monotype, Emigre....

It's quite common these days for typeface designers to include 'quirky' elements (eg, mixing upper and lower case) in their fonts - ie, not your Times, Helvetica and Ariels etc.. which were designed a long time ago.
