Those Stockport lads were definately up for it. We didn't have enough in there to kick off though. Embarrassing really. 20 lads taking over our main pub!! Doubt they would've try it 10 mins earlier though eh. Still, respect to them they had no clue what they might have been walking into.

For about two months at the start of 02-03 it was. I didnt know that many lads back then, so always made sure I had it. I was number 221.
No town fan was ever turned away though.

i've only been there once though so it might be different other days! Thats why it's so popular. It's a good old fashioned working mans, spit and sawdust pub. A proper footy pub with proper music. Fuck these well cleaned, wooden modern pubs. They have no atmosphere at all. When you walk into a pub you want to stick to the carpet where its that fucked. I must admit though, the dog shit in the CGH garden is a bit much! |
