that was an ace free kick although I dont think thats how it was supposed to go...

Don't know why you'd think that, looked like clock work to me. It's always annoyed me that we don't try more things like that rather than just blasting it in to the car park every time. Hopefully we'll see more of it.

We played quite well I thought, De Vita likes falling over. Other then that I think we looked pretty solid we'll be fine this season. Bit of game going on in Derby 5-5.

Benson talks like someone who could manage a side in the future.

I'm guessing they didnt bother watching us? As same as last season let teams huff and puff first half, tire them out and then take them out in the last 30 minutes. Hope league 1 is as unprepared as brighton were.

Poyet already playing the 'concentrate on the league' card.  In mid August.  Blimey!

Some of the threads on http://www.northstandchat.com are poetry to read.

They make some TEF meltdowns look like a fart in comparison.

Cracking result tonight, great team performance. Williams MOTM for me, looks like he could be the perfect foil for whichever number 9 plays. Roll on Saturday!

PDC:
- Good start long way to go
- Credit to Navarro. He has listened since the first day. He believes in the system.
- New players brought in calm and intelligence
- Easier job for him to encourage quality players
- Tonight proved that team is behind him and the way he does things and what he's trying to achieve
- Door is more open today for Caddis than yesterday. PDC wants to see a positive reaction from Caddis
- Will play to win every game doesn't matter what the competition. Wants to bread winning mentality.
- Chris Wise tried to goad PDC that we could face West Ham in the next round. PDC dodged it.
- Saturday will be harder

Second half was much better.

3 goals, clean sheet, couldn't be much better.
