I may have already asked  Smiley

Anyone know how much it is likely to cost to get someone to extend my driveway, approximately 20ft by 10ft?

Done properly; around £2k... Done by Pikey's; about 600 quid

Just had my drive entrance done (21' x 9').  Was quoted 1700 + VAT by Thornbury surfacing but got it done for £600 with granite edge sets (in fairness they did a good job but think the presence of video cameras at the front of my house kept them on their toes)

Depends if you need the kerb dropping etc. Don't use SBC if you live in Swindon as they did mine at my old house and it had to be ripped up and re-done twice as they used such shit tarmac.

Sad didn't think it would be that expensive. There is no kerb to drop, I would prep it all, they would just have to whack it down and go.

Tarmac can cost a small fortune. Ask around neighbours and see if anyone else is considering having some done - the costs can come down if they can get a few jobs near to eachother that will use up a whole load.

The neighbours look sorted. I might go down the block paving route, trouble is the main part of my drive is tarmaced. Will it look shite?

£400 block paving, and that's on the cheap. Hmmm, I may have to go down the concrete route, plus a big tin of black floor paint. The missus won't like it though.  Huh?

Can you not just dig it out, put in a liner and some gravel? A few tons of gravel would be the cheapest option.

It is the cheapest option because there is gravel already there  Cheesy. Trouble is the local cats see it as a litter tray.
