. . . . down the pub. The dogs have been fed and are quiet in their kennel, the missus is on a half day and will be home at 3 so the weekend starts now!
Please excuse any spelling mistakes later in the day!!!

You don't see 'Arp anymore, in England. Is it now confined to Hibernia?

No Harp, but the Guinness is way better than what is sold in the UK.
A nice 4 pints of the Black Stuff, back to change the dressing on one of the greyhounds feet (had a toe amputated a few days ago), walked the others, dodged the showers.
I'm going to miss this place!!

On a slilght tangent, has anyone tried the new Guinness style stout that Wadworths are brewing? It is called Corvus and is pretty good. Not quite as bitter as Guinness.

No but I will certainly be having some when the opportunity arises. Does anyone remember Red Guinness?

I was speaking to somebody about red Guinness the other week.
The described it to me as something that tasted just like Guinness and looked just like Guinness
So, just Guinness then?

Red Guinness was lighter in colour and flavour. It did have a slight reddish hue to it and was a bit too sweet for my tastes.
When describing the difference vs. normal Guinness to somebody in a pub (they roast the barley for less time, so it's milder) I got told off by the landlady who insisted that they added caramel to it during the brewing process. Thick twat.
