The missus wants some ideas as what to buy me for my impending birthday. I have most things that I want and I am a nightmare to buy for (apparently ). I wouldn't mind some kind of electronic gadget, maybe for reminders and keeping notes (something like an electronic diary?). Also, what's a kindle like to own? I am the wrong side of 30 (well, in truth I'm the wrong side of 40 ). Thanks for any advice (as long as it doesn't include - stairlifts, pipe and slippers etc etc.)

Butt Plug ?
Seriously - Kindle's are ace, but I am finding myself reading more and more on a tablet
But if you are likely to read outside in the sun (if it ever shows its face) go for a Kindle

With the popularity of smartphones/tablets I'm surprised that manufacturers make electronic diaries anymore.

Yep. As a kid I would have had a huge list of wants - as I get older I don't want anything, but I don't want to say "just stick some cash in an envelope". The kindle sounds interesting; the electronic diary idea would help my increasing memory lapses

Yeah I'd go for the Kindle Touch.
I hear the Kindle Fire is coming out in the UK soon though.. For not much more. I heard Amazon lose around a tenner for each Kindle Fire sale?

It just drove him up the wall.
