I remember being at Selhurst park v Gills in the play offs singing the celery song. I was about 8 years old. I also remember thinking, "if she doesn't come where?"

... I recall large amounts of celery being launched around at the FA Cup game at Fulham a couple of years back... Highly amusing!

I still have a paper cutting from one of the papers because celery was banned at the CG.
It got so bad at one point that there were stalls on the roads to the ground selling it.
I also remember at the play-off semi final at Wigan where the Town fans were grabbing hand fills of grass & mud from the bank on the away end & were throwing that in the air instead, whilst singing the song.

Isn't celery banned from Stamford Bridge because they used to throw it too?! What is that all about?

In the play-off home game with Wigan a few days later,it was flying about.Ban or no ban. A mate of mine was interviewed live on the radio before the Gillingham play-off final and asked the words to the song,by none other than Vic Morgan

Away to Notts County that season they ran out of celery so a load of other vegetables were brought into the ground and launched into the air. Cauliflowers hurt. The sprouts weren't so bad. Celery got banned because some bright sparks decided to freeze the celery and put razor blades in it and throw it into the away fans.

I remember the Gillingham play off away match. They tried stopping people bringing Celery into the ground. There were were bags and bags of celery outside the away end. As soon as we got into the ground and the song started, there was loads of celery flying in the air
