Had to pay this £5 charge last season and yes it did piss me off ! But went down with cash this year. Can't see why they charge for debit card though as that is just robbery ! Don't recall a debit card charge when buying a shirt in the club shop though.

We went into the ticket office on Saturday to renew 3 season tickets. The charges are per ticket, not transaction so, as we used our debit card it was £2.50 per ticket- so we spend £1000 at the club and get charged £7.50 for the honour. That would have been £15 if we had to use the credit card! It was suggested by the bloke that served us that we get the cash out of the cashpoint. The only cashpoints I know that will let you have a grand are those that are being restocked by G4S- you need to know the pin for your sawn off or baseball bat though......

The more cash we put into the club this season, bolsters the wage cap limit for next season, right?

We are doing well....looks as if we are going up....a manager with passion who we love and believe in and a Wembley final.

However......something today fucked me off and i want to see what you cunts think about it....right or wrong i reckon i will feel better after i have a little rant.

Walked into the ticket office to renew my ST and was stood in the queue when something caught my attention.

A4 printed piece of paper above the counters...

Season Ticket Admin charges:

Credit Cards £5
Debit Cards £2:50
Cash: Free

I didnt happen to have the odd £350 on me so gave it a miss...

How the fuck can the club justify charging us £5 to use a credit card.....and £2:50 for a debit card which costs them a few pence....fuck off.  Once again the loyal fan is kicked in the bollocks and squeezed for a couple more quid.....IMO a disgrace.

If i go to Tescos i don't get asked how im going to pay at the tills!

It was bad enough getting ripped off by the ticket agency for Wembley tickets when the club stated it couldn't cope (although the huge club of Chesterfield seemed to manage it).  £36 tickets averaging over £39 a pop was order of the day BUT this is what you expect when ordering any kind of tickets from Websites and Phonelines, I just didn't expect it from the clubs box office on a match day.

We have been shelling out cash left right and centre for trips to JPT games and Wembley tickets and transport to these games. Plus the season ticket price has gone up (another argument but i accepted the increase myself).

I spoke to Mr Watkins at half time who said they have always charged for using cards.

1. Just because its always been done doesn't make it right.
2. Im pretty sure the charges were not so high.

Please put me right on this.

Mr Watkins suggested that if they didn't charge then they would have to put the charge on to the total ticket price.  I urged him to do this and he seemed surprised.

It seems the club have decided to cash in on the feel good factor and milk us for all we are worth.
Looks like they have forgotten the total abortion of last years fuck up season.

I will now probably get the cash and pay but i will be sending a letter to the club stating my feelings.

What do you fuckers think......comment and abuse welcome!

Up until some point last season there was a £1 charge for use of both credit and debit cards for matchday ticket sales but the debit card charge was dropped. I agree in principle that it should be for season tickets too if they don't charge for matchday tickets. Does the club charge for use of cards on merchandise? Why stop just on tickets?

They charged me £1 when i ordered cheltenham tickets with my debit card

The credit card machine company's do charge per transaction so you are right it should be either £2.50 or £5.00 not that for each ticket. if they are charging per ticket then it must be a booking fee.
I will pay mine by my credit card but only because of the cashback i get on every purchase makes it more than £5.00 i will get back so i am on a winner.

On this issue, when I buy my tickets online the £1 credit card charge is still charged even though I pay by debit card - Has anyone else noticed this?

May have been mentioned, but you can see how the club would lose money on credit cards if they didnt charge per ticket. i charge 50p to the customer per card transaction and get charged 29p per direct debit and as high as 2.55% for credit cards. I obviously make 21p profit on debit cards but for a credit card if the transaction was £500 I would be losing £12.

The club is overcharging for direct debits by a fair bit. I guess every business takes a hit when a customer pays by card rather cash but it only seems that a certain number of businesses actually charge the customer directly on top.

Strangely Iv had customers opt to post a cheque (1st class stamp costs 46p) instead of paying the 50p charge...
