That's how many we can drop if we are to equal the 4th division points record.

Doable?

I can't see us drawing 2 games or losing one to be honest Wink

This had not slipped my mind either.

Just that in the remaining 18 games, there's bound to be shitty ref decisions or just plain bad luck that will cost us.

True. It would crown Di Canio's double nicely if things went our way...

For anybody that needs numbers:

The fourth division record (held by us) is 102
The league record (held by Reading), which is what macphlea is alluding to, is 106

We have 55 with 54 left to play for. We can currently achieve 109 points.

As long as we finish in the top 3, I don't care how many points we get.

I agree top 3 finish is all that matters, winning the league is a bonus

Completely agree. Sooner we're out of this shite league, the better.

Agree, but isn't finishing 3rd our worse ever league performance? It would be good to better that. Besides if we storm the league, we have a better chance of improving our squad next season - by the virtue of attracting players who want to play for Di Canio (assuming he stays of course)

Paolo wants the title and so do I. In fact I want next season's team picture to have two nice shiny pots sitting at the front.

If we win our games in hand then we should be looking to win the league. At the moment though i'm happy with top 3.

I believe we weren't very good before Mr Macari arrived!

We finished 17th under Ken Beamish the year before Macari arrived.
