Rumour has it in the WDP, Brissol Evening Post and OTIB that City will today announce the signing of Michael Bridges.

I'm all for it personally, I think hes a crippled waste of money and space whos close to completing his descent though the leagues. He was once a very good player, but now?

Very similar to Stewart really, so can't see it improving them too much, regardless of his fitness/brittleness.

I agree, I hope it is Bridges. He's only scored once in the last 4 years I believe.   He's also one of the most injured players ever only averaging about 15 games a season but he'll still be on high wages.

I'd still say he's worth a gamble, but he's not going to have much of a pre-season signing at this point - he's missed out on all the hard fitness work.

If we'd signed him I'd be happy, however I'm much happier with Cureton and Thorpe.

If you could get someone like Bridges on a month by month , then it'd be worth doing, but I can't think of too many who've been been out for so long who've achieved anything if given a long contract.

As BWB says 1 goal in 4 seasons, is not exactly form.

I hope he doesn't sing. Even if he is incredibly injury prone there is always the risk that he will play against us and score some goals.

I hope he doesn't sing too, going by past footballers attempts - Hoddle & Waddle, Liverpool, England etc.

Terry Venables could turn out a song.....and don't get me started on Julio Iglesias.

I'd be more than happy to see Bridges against us, he turned out for Leeds in the 2-2 draw at Elland Road.....Paul Robinson equalled his goals tally for the last 4 seasons.

It seems not only has he managed one goal in the last four seasons but also didn't score the year before meaning it's actually one goal in five seasons and he went four seasons without scoring at all! Hard to believe but seems to be true. An impressive feat.

Matt Hoolett has a better record - I'm shaking in my boots. Cheesy

Don't mock the Hewlett! Remember his screamer against Notts County?!
Premiership player in my opinion! (Hewlett that is)
