I have one tonight.
Agency just phoned me up saying a company is interested in me and wants to see me tonight after work.

Trouble is i don't wear shirt & Tie to work so i'm just in Jeans and a shitty (not the BCFC kind) top.

All i'm thinking is first impressions and all that

Take your current boss out back and 'do him over' in order to nick his suit - assuming of course he/she wears one.

In fact if your boss is female I'd suggest you don't follow my instructions, as turning up in a blouse and a skirt may affect your chances of landing the job further than turning up in your civvies would.

You should be ok, just explain that its a casual dress code etc at your current place. If they turn you down on that basis, then they're not worth working for anyway

I have an assessment day, in Leeds, for a new job next Wednesday.  Not really looking forward to it that much, but if you want a bigger pay packet, company car and a much better job, that's the sort of thing you need to do I suppose.

I'm working for Openwork now anyway, so I suppose there's an O in me!!  It'll be a sad day, but a day not too far in the future, I hope!!

I just bought a suit about ten minutes ago. How strange and coincidental.

Why not get someone from home to bring your suit to your work?

couple of things why.

1, My wife doesn't finish till 5:30 and works in Halesowen. (i'm in centre of Brum)

2, I don't have one Oops

All my old shirt and ties etc got binned when i got the job i'm in now cos i didn't need them anymore.

Got a couple of nice shirts and trousers for meetings.
If i get the job i will have to splash out on my wifes Burtons card for new suits etc

I think you should be honest at tell them that you will be casually dressed and why, but you'd like to make the right impression so if  they'd prefer you can postpone the interview until a later date.

I have 4 interviews now:

1 in Swindon tomorrow, then off to 1 in Aldershot,
1 in Chppenham on Friday,
1 in High Wycombe on Tuesday (2nd interview following phone interview).

I thought I really messed up the phone interview too....
