Oooh another pen

Neither of the pens in the second half were as obvious as the one they didn't get in the first half.

Still, makes for an interesting last 20 mins

Chelsea are all over the place defensively at the moment, but you wouldn't be surprised if they score another one on the break.

Oh dear chelsea

Could get worse yet.

Mind you, with Man Utd's defence Chelsea might score another

To butt in, my kids came to the Macclesfield game and for the first time the eldest actually enjoyed it and was paying attention to the game.  Not just the sweets I'd bought her.

Little girls tend to idolise their dads.  Often because Dads are away working a lot so when they go off for 3 hours on a saturday afternoon, the little 'uns are fascinated and want to be with them.  So you'll probably find that the kid will want to go but you have to make sure its a good experience for them.   You see the problem is often when they get in the ground, at a young age they are bored.  So if you get her to come, make sure she has plenty to do.  The football is kind of a sideline to it.  They are more interested in rocking robin, sweets, capri sun and anything outside of the football until later years.

Ive signed them both up as Junior reds, which was £15 this year, they got a little bag and a pencil, which is very exciting to young girls and more importantly (to me) they get free tickets.

Hope you get your wish and in years to come get to do that walk down county road to the CG.

Cheers for the reply Nash! Interesting read. I wonder how it'll all go hopefully she'll see it as a fun afternoon out with Dad, but you never know!

I've got the little one to sit and watch footie on the telly, hoping she'll take to the County Ground once she's old enough.

Some interesting pointers there...thanks.  Sounds as if the main thing is to dwell not so much on stories of past glories/Moncur & Hazard midfield/SSP scoring a hattrick on his debut etc.  And more on Cheese Dippers and crayons.  The bag & the pencil sounds incentive enough for my two to join up in the summer!

The family in front of me (cute mum, dad big enough to put me off looking too much!) bring their little girl. I would guess she is 5 or 6. They always have a comic, colouring book and pencils with them, and the girl gets through the games without complaint, and cheers at the right times.

Be prepared to get grumpy with people around you swearing, though. Parents with little girls seem a lot touchier about it that those with little boys.

That is very true Wiggy, I've only ever said something when I've had my daughter with me, I even spoke up for someone else's girl once, she was an attractive young mum though ! And the swearing was cunt this and cunt that.

Ive took my little girl once before, she was very bored. But this was a couple of years ago, she has taken a bit more interest now and her favourite player is Ferry haha. Gonna try and take her again before the season is out now she is older.

On the flip side there is nothing worse than having to constantly get up and down because some little un finds it more interesting going backwards and forwards than staying in their seat for more than 5 minutes. Angry that's where the book and pencils makes a difference.

That's it you've all convinced me that my 13 month old will be coming along to the Barnet match on Tuesday night, I can't wait any longer!  ;-)
