No .............. what would make sense would be to let another ST holder that wanted to go but cant get tickets have it
but why would a season ticket holder want to use someone else's season ticket?

Then we go over the same argument again, why should season ticket holders have preference over non season ticket holders?
Because that was the system, and you abused it. You just cant have a free for all for 1200 tickets that were always going to be like gold dust. I am not saying you are any less of a fan, just that there had to be a priority system. Right or wrong that was the way the club wanted to go. If this would have happened to you last year when you did have a ST then you would have been whining like a bitch about it

It's not so much about preference to season ticket holders for me.
It's about preference to those that attend home games and travel the length and breadth of the country to the less glamorous games that should be rewarded with a ticket to games like these.
If you don't go much and you were jammy enough to get a ticket, then furry muff. But you should at least be magnanimous enough to recognise that more deserving people missed out.

I think he means those who queued or missed out on the phone.

The system was abused by some. As I was queuing someone came out boasting that he had bought 5 tickets and had 2 spare and offered them for sale at £50 each.

Did anybody think of calling for tickets whilst queueing?
I tried that, was on hold for approx 30 mins then gave up. Wiffy was at home on hold for over an hour also, but no luck. In hindsight I should've got to the queue earlier than I did (approx 8:45am), but then I got up too late. So it's no-ones fault but my own, obviously, but queuing for 4 1/2 hours, getting to the entrance to the ticket office (approx only 10 people in front of me at this point) and they advise us the tickets have all been sold, was quite infuriating, to say the least. Oh well, hopefully they'll be showing it on a screen at the club.

The last couple of pages only cement my view of an away loyalty scheme being fairer then awarding them to season ticket holders. Those who would have gained credits from away games would not be likely to give them to a friend like season ticket holders have. They would be regular away attendees and wouldn't give up the chance of going to oxford.
A system is in place and it was open to abuse. Do i blame people for taking advantage? nope, but that doesn't make it right.
