The proposed loyalty system wouldn't be at the expense of season ticket holders though Posh. For example 500 points for buying a season ticket. 20 points for a home cup game, 10 points for an way game. Then those who attend both home and away get rewarded. It works!
Like you say difficult to track the away games as easily but even in this league 9 times out of 10 tickets are sent in advance. Just have to allocate these against a "member card/number".

We were only given 1,252 tickets.
Season Ticket holders were rightly given priority.
I really don't see what the Club have done wrong?!

The club did nothing wrong just saying they could do it different going forward.
Well saying that they shouldn't have taken phone bookings.

You cannot expect every ST holder to go down to the CG and queue, can you?

True, but I think phone bookings should have only been taken for the people who live outside of Swindon.

As I pointed out though, how does the club know who went to Southend on Tuesday. For Leicester & Barnet it's easier, as these games are/were all ticket. So unless we go down the route of making all of our away games all ticket it just won't work. Unless we give priority to people who book travel through the club, and I think that would piss most people off. And to be honest, one of the benefits pointed out when you buy a season ticket is preference for away tickets. It bothers me more that people without season tickets (because they have borrowed one) have got tickets for this game in preference to people who have. But even then I still think the club have done what they can.

They should have offered Oxford tickets to those who travelled to Southend on a freezing Tuesday night.

How many away games are you talking to class as regular? I'm thinking at least half to be considered an away regular.

They should have dropped all the tickets off the John Murray building, scrambles.

If they want a ticket that badly then yes. Plus they didn't have to anyway as one person in the queue could buy 5. Am I strange in feeling it's unfair for someone who queues for 4 hours only to miss out because someone got lucky from the comfort of their bedroom?

Yes. The situation was laid out very clear a long time ago. If people are stupid enough to go and stand in the cold, they know the risks. People are just complaining for the sake of complaining. Nothing more the club could have done. Get on with it

Of course they should.
I wonder how people will be going to their first away game v Oxford? Anyone brave enough to admit it?

Thought I'd chance it at 1050 and was within about 30 people of getting one. When I joined the queue I was told it was unlikely I'd get one but chose to stay. With about 250 left they stopped taking phone bookings. In the past when cash was king, you'd walk through the turnstiles of the Town End to get your ticket which was a lot easier and quicker. I recall queuing up Drove Road for the Spurs game in 1980.
