It was the fairest system, and I was there from 6.30. The fact some people can't be there doesn't make them lesser fans. The fact people aren't season ticket holders doesn't mean they care less either. One thing that was great today was chatting to complete strangers in the queue about Town over the years. It's very easy to begin to think you are the most dedicated fan etc etc. This morning showed the lengths people go to because they love this club, and I know a load of other people that if they could be there, or if they had a season ticket, would have been there.

They should have allocated a certain number of tickets for phone sales and the rest for in person.
Only gripe is that loads of people at the back of the queue had no way of knowing if they'd wasted 5 hours of their time. Staff and stewards did not give a shit about them either. Honestly don't think the club realise how long it took to queue up.

I particularly liked "get your burgers" ,"I was there Tuesday...." and "there's litter" as his conversation starters. What a social animal he was. |
