That or a plumber/plasterer who seem to make silly money at the moment.

Because plumbers and plasterers are making loads of money at the moment loads of people are taking it up and so in 5 to 10 years time there will be loads of them and the rest of us will be able to get a plumber for peanuts.

Very true I suppose.

Chippie looks a good trade and seem to be in demand at the moment.

Days like today that I really wish I could get to play outdoors or anywhere other than the same old identikit offices.

I had a franchise almost in the bag myself about a year or so back but didn't quite get the finances together.  Thought I was there but would have been a little too tight for comfort on the initial cash flow so I bought an apartment instead, that’s still not fucking built.

I'd quite like an independent menswear store selling new and up and coming labels with a few solid established brands.  Did the research and sums and everything looked rosy but getting even some of the lesser known labels to come in is a bastardo.  Gonna look into it again in 12 months or so.

If I ever persuade anyone that going into business making clothes aimed at snowboarders etc. is a good idea, then you'd be welcome to stock some of my stuff.  It would only be tees, jumpers and jeans etc.

I'd recommend being unemployed. The hours are great. Unfortunately the pay isn't

Why not try to make a living from buying and selling on ebay? Loads of people have made a mint from it, it's just about knowing what items are good profit makers

I used to make a couple hundred on a good week.  You can sell pretty much anything for a decent profit it's all down to how you list it.

Mnaged to make £200 off 20 old VHS vids.

Brother is making £300+ a week selling phone covers.

Nowadays though I only sell when I'm broke and need beer tokens.

I've looked into trying to make a few quid on ebay (from buying then selling on), but don't really know where to start, I read one of those ebooks on how to become rich from ebay, but didn't really help. I was going to try buying some wristbands in bulk, then sell them on individually, but they don't seem to be selling as well as they were about a month ago, looks like I've missed the boat on that one

https://secure.wristbandserver.com/order.asp?s=wcw&menu=order

Not used em so don't ask if they are any good.

Bit ropey selling charity wrist bands but you can make a couple of quid on each one.

Secret is to mke up a quid or so on P&P and sell lower than anyone else on the starting price.

I'm no expert on the selling side, but have brought a few things and Dazzza's right re the postage and lower starting price.

I've seen various items where one has started lower than the other but gone for more cause people saw it at the start, saw it was cheaper and watched that item, so I think that's a good tip.

Aye thats the way Bedford.

Start your tat off at a penny make on the P&P and well as much as it's frowned upon bid on your own items using another account.

If people are looking for a particular item and see a couple of bids on one already it generates interest.  Sell your item as the best of the lot with included insurance, UK seller, and superior quality and you'll attract more bids.  Plus if somethings not reaching the price you want you can win the auction yourself.

Ahhh ebay. People are nuts on there, if they get carried away in a bidding war it's great. I mean who else would pay £14 for a pope (soap) on a rope that 5 minutes of googling can locate for £3.75.
