I like the idea of being a freelance photographer. Own hours to suit, little overheads and best of all being your own boss.
That or a plumber/plasterer who seem to make silly money at the moment.
Top tip here from a mates brother who is a plumber those old school radiators that you see old buildings the big bulky things are now worth an absolute fortune and are in demand for sWANKy apartments.

Because plumbers and plasterers are making loads of money at the moment loads of people are taking it up and so in 5 to 10 years time there will be loads of them and the rest of us will be able to get a plumber for peanuts.

Sales is always hard, Ive stopped setting myself targets at work cos id always get stresses. Instead ive started getting in at 7.30 so I can leave at 4 when I get bored!
Freelance photographer - good idea as long as your motivated and can get work. I know a few photoigraphers who find getting jobs quite hard.
Brother in law is a postie loves it. Maybe try design work if you like computers, my advice to anyone is go on your own, fuck working for someone its hard at times but well worth it

Very true I suppose. Chippie looks a good trade and seem to be in demand at the moment. Days like today that I really wish I could get to play outdoors or anywhere other than the same old identikit offices. I had a franchise almost in the bag myself about a year or so back but didn't quite get the finances together. Thought I was there but would have been a little too tight for comfort on the initial cash flow so I bought an apartment instead, that’s still not fucking built. I'd quite like an independent menswear store selling new and up and coming labels with a few solid established brands. Did the research and sums and everything looked rosy but getting even some of the lesser known labels to come in is a bastardo. Gonna look into it again in 12 months or so.

I'm hoping that the combination of photography, film studies and English language will lead onto a decent Uni degree and I'll be able to work within the media as a photographer - preferably sports and freelance. I'll have to stop being such a useless cunt first though :?
