Win tomorrow and we're no worse off than before tonight. Too early to be concentrating on others results IMO.

Or win tomorrow and we're no better off, if your glass is half empty! With 3 of our promotion rivals playing tonight I would say it's worth concentrating on tonight's games.  Smiley

I don't understand why a lot of people say, "Ooooh, I'm not interested in other teams' results, I'm only interested in what we do."

Let's say you are two points behind the team above you. You win, you get three points. But they also win so they also get three points. You don't go up any places. However, if you win and they only draw, you will go above them in the league. (Just one example but I could give you thousands more if needed.)

Therefore, why on earth would anyone not be interested in how the teams around them are doing? Huh?

I keep an eye on the table and points totals, I just don't feel the need to be concetrating on every game, goal by goal.. at this stage of the season. I will be 6 weeks or so Smiley

It is irritating though.  There's a pack of teams ahead of us who are not choking and picking up points, week after week.  A few weeks ago I thought we were going to start making up ground, but at the moment all we seem to be able to do - at  best - is to keep pace.  I feel that we're going to need to step up another gear to push on in to the top three.

If we can put together a winning run, the other results will take care of themselves.

But after a 15 game unbeaten run you would expect to find yourself in the top two or three but we were still only 5th or 6th because the bastards above us kept winning as Ardiles alluded to.

I would therefore conclude that the other results do not necessarily take care of themselves.

Maybe not, but getting stressed about them isn't going to help.

Especially if that stress transfers to the team & our performance levels drop.

Also need to remember of those 15 games, 5 of them were cup games & we drew 4.

If we could win 5 or 6 on the bounce I'm sure we will close the gap.
