Sorry - but its the same old same old Red Frog

You believe something and that's your right - but stop being so fucking pious about it

People are allowed to think differently to you - if you want to put blinkers on and ignore all of what seems to be relevant interviews/autobiographies etc.. then that's your call - but it doesn't mean you are automatically right....

A little less blinkered and you might even learn something !

Don't patronise, RF.  Try to engage.

Sorry, I'm really trying to resist engaging!

Try something hypothetical for me to see if it makes any difference: for every mention of Fascism and Mussolini in this discussion, replace with Nazism and Hitler. So one of your posts would read: "the PDC 'nazism' story has run its course now.  Most accept, I think, that his sympathy with the philosophy was along the lines of Hitler bringing order". How comfortable would you be writing that? Are you saying that you're ok-ish with Italian fascism but not the German version?

I guess we've just chosen to draw our black and white lines in different places.

was that the 87 play off season? i remember that, getting covered in tomato sauce after they had raided the little kiosk in the corner just before the game started then it all kicking off during the game our lot throwing a policemans helmet back and forth with the Bournemouth fans! fuckin hilarious...then about two hundred of us being escorted round the ground to be put in the Town End boiling hot day if i remember rightly.

sounds about right, i was 15 at the time, was scorching. i dont think that little gate at the front to the left of the goal had seen so much action, about that time coppers helmuts seemed to get tossed about loads.

have a feeling yeovil red got chucked out that day too Smiley

as for fascism you know my thoughts, not going to come back til he's gone. but dont want to get involved in the same old arguements.

oh and bobs orange is a cunt and didnt sing at wembley.

Comparing Italian Fascism to German Nazism is like comparing a Muslim to an Islamic Extremist.

Try something hypothetical for me to see if it makes any difference: for every mention of Fascism and Mussolini in this discussion, replace with Catholicism and The Pope. So one of your posts would read: "the PDC 'Catholicism' story has run its course now.  Most accept, I think, that his sympathy with the philosophy was along the lines of The Pope bringing order". How comfortable would you be writing that? Are you saying that you're ok-ish with Italian fascism but not the Vatican's version?

This works just as well Red Frog - as does lots of other 2 words !

We are not talking about Hitler or the Nazi's - we are talking about our manager and his sympathies with a way of wanting things to be in his own country.......Nostalgic or not !!!

I might edit the word filter so any mentions of fascism and Mussolini are replaced with Christmas and Santa  Smiley

back on topic - there will certainly be some tickets on sale in the main stands after 2nd Jan.
Mine will be at least.
I wanted 2 tickets togther as my son is coming and couldn't get one near my ST so have decamped to the Arkells wing for the day.  I would imagine that others might have done similar and a few will be unable to make it on the day.
I expect they'll mostly be single tickets though and be snapped up quite fast.

continuing with the original topic, i know a lot of fans with season tickets will be holding out for tickets on the bank, so you can pretty much guarantee there will be a couple of thousand left between the three stands come 2 January. Would be amazing if we actually sell out all tickets apart from unclaimed season ticket seats by January 2nd.

Hopefully the bank can let their voices be heard as well and we can get a 'We are Paolo's Red and White Army' between the two halfs of the ground (Arkells not included of course)

Though boring and repetitive this Fascism conversation has been for the last 6 months, I like the well thought out discussion in this one. From Hitler and Nazis to Christmas & Santa, and not forgetting Quality Street!  Brilliant.  I'll let you girls carry on with the serious stuff!

A bit like the Tory MP Aidan Burley, who seems to quite like Nazi themed stag parties...

And a bit like Labour MP Ed Balls too (who dressed up as a nazi for a lark whilst at Oxford........)

You see what you've done Bob's Orange?

Now go and sit in the corner!

I've got a spare ticket for a seat in the corner if Bob's Orange wishes to sit next to me. Can't see it though......after all, I am a fucking preachy cunt. Furthermore, I'd feel guilty that two of us were collecting coins being thrown at us by opposing fans, especially at this time of year and during the current harsh economic climate !!

We're also going to be shown on Viasat Sport in Norway - the same channel that Fjørtoft is anchor.
