They may very well beat us but I don't think anything of their club. Of course they have better players than us but they'll all be devoid of confidence (if they think beating Sunderland is an achievement that says everything) and even more rooted to the bottom than they already are.

We'll beat them.

Good move by the club - hopefully the bank will be open even if we're nowhere near a sell out - like someone said on here not long ago, even a couple of hundred on there would be better than what we have now.

Excellent prices, I can see a gate of 10,000 plus for this. Even if Wigan arent the biggest name how often to you get to see your team go up against a top division side?

Some of the criticism of their away support is OTT in my opinion. Fair enough for games against the likes of Bolton but for visits to Chelsea / Arsenal etc... given the cost of tickets and the gulf in class between the top 5 or 6 Prem sides and the rest its a wonder they get as many away fans as they do (from all visiting clubs not just Wigan).

The club are also offering £5 off for the rearranged Shrewsbury game if you keep your ticket stub from the FA cup tie. Im sure that sort of deal used to work the other way round with stubs from league games required to get tickets for cup ties. Maybe the club think Shrewsbury is a more glamourous game!

Yup fair play to the club, hopefully 40% off for the side stands should be enough to entice a few extra along.

Fuck me sideways there's a lot of deluded people on here,

If we get beat by 2 goals that would be a decent effort.

An unusually sensible post from DMR....of course we've yet to play a modern day top flight side where they basically forfeit cup games by putting out weakened teams, so things may be different from the days of proper football, but it's been 44 years, since near on 26K of us, saw a Town side outside of the 2nd tier, dump a top flight side at the CG in the FA Cup.

Its like a childhood coach trip to Barry Island. Its quite exciting on the journey there, but ultimately a let down when you get there. and have had a look round.

I think I'd like to go on that trip still. But I wonder if every seasons the aim is 'do not get relegated' whether I'd look back on the days were success was an option as well as abject failure.
Utter utter bollocks. Barry island was great as a kid.     FACT!

That depends on what size font you type it in, surely?

Beating us easily depends on whether they take it half seriously, or just bung in a load of youths.

Agree with the other points. It could be worse though. It could be Wigan away. Or Wolves away. Or Norwich.

Wolves away on a 3pm ko you can get group savers for £9 via Worcester. Would have been ace!

Good prices for the Cup game. I know it sounds stupid given the crowds Wigan play in front of every week, but the County Ground is always an intimidating venue when full (or at least over 75% full). 10,000 plus home fans fingers crossed.

Think it's more a case of enticing season ticket holders along...

Great home draw as I think its winnable and hopefully we get a lot of local support for this game as Wigans away following is shite. Not a bad price at fifteen quid.
