Tickets should be discounted for this one, £10 an adult to try and make a big crowd!

Wigan will only bring 200 or so, so will need lots of town fans in the CG!

edit: I can't understand why people think we'll get a big (or a sizeable increase on a L2 game) attendance for this one, Wigan have about 8 fans and nobody around Swindon will see that name and rush out to buy tickets for it. Even another Premier League team like Swansea would have been a bigger draw as they always bring a good number to the CG.
because people will think they are half a chance of witnessing a prem team losing in the fa cup. there will be 9-10k

Should not need to rely on Wigan bringing loads - up to Town fans to show up and create some atmosphere and help us get through which is definitely possible!

Confidence is a big factor in football and we have it right now and thy don't!!!

Do you have next weeks lottery numbers?

Wigan at home is one of the shittest draws possible. Unlikely to progress, few will travel from Wigan and won't get locals interested so no extra money.

Agreed.
Wigan's away following is embarrasing even for prem games. They will bring less than alot of league 2 clubs here.
Not really a big draw for town fans either. 8k tops

They're home to Sunderland on Tuesday the same week before so that'll work in our favour. According to their forums Martinez doesn't take cups seriously plus, being bottom, they need to focus on the league so it's very winnable I say.

Their forums aren't exactly buzzing with excitement, a winnable tie for sure. Remember when we all went to Fulham two years ago? We narrowly lost to them. We arguably have a more balanced team now that probably would have beaten that Wilson team today, so why not?

Providing we do not implode in the first 15 minutes like Totton did to the Gas today I'd say an upset was on the cards and if not? Who gives a toss we'll be able to concentrate on the league and the QD (quick drying) Paint trophy.

Just a thought, how many of the Judas team from last year are a) still in the cup, b) enjoying better fortunes with their new clubs or c) wishing they had stayed with the mighty town?

Last year Wigan got a crowd of 7,515 at home to Bolton in the R4 replay. The year before that they got 5,335 at home to Hull in R3 and 5,519 at home to Notts County in R4... a game they lost.

I don't think they'll be needing the Stratton Bank.

I was surprised how positive people were about the draw, possibly the dullest prem draw possible, although I suppose we may have a chance.

But don't for a moment think they will bring many to Town, having worked in Wigan for 5 years there is next to no interest in football (and what there is directs to Liverpool or Man U), it is a wholly egg chasing town.

I would suspect that if we get a replay it is possible that we could have more supporters at the replay (which would be very hand for me so hope we draw the 1st game!), went to the Swindon Wigan game at the JJB (I refuse to boost Whelans ego!) a fair few years back and recall we lost 1-0 (heavily deflected free kick i think - although I had had a drink!) with the most dreadful crowd I have ever known - they were doing this strange whistleing chant all the way through, possibly the most irritating noise I have heard at a ground!

Saw Douglas on the highlights looking dumbfounded as Wrexham's first goal went straight over his head.

What about Michael Rose? Anybody know what he's up to these days?
Prutton's still in it with Wednesday, but I don't think he's been in the team lately?
McGovern is out, Cuthbert is out... O'Brien and Sheehan are in it for the time beaing at least. Austin's in it but injured. Who else?

Totally agree. A big push required to get a big crowd for this one. Also I think it's a good opportunity to open the Stratton Bank for us as well.
