I wouldnt say it was the deadliest, you could probably kick it to death quite easily, or stand on it or something....but in terms of animal that just gives you the creeps, winner by a mile....

I propose the Malaysian Bollock Eating Monster. You'd not want to find one of those down your trousers, I can tell you.
Why, what do they do?

Missed this at first. I will second the Box Jellyfish mentioned a couple of pages back and nominate this good looking fella, the Blue-Ringed Octopus
http://whyevolutionistrue.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/blue-ringed-octopus-1-1.jpg
Look pretty cool doesn't it? Those Blue Rings can pulsate on the body too.
Well if you pick one of these fuckers up you'll live (or not as the case will probably be) to regret it. Like Mark Fowler's penis, it's 5 to 8 inches in length and there's no cure for the poison it delivers. It has enough toxin to kill 20-odd humans within minutes. If you get done by one of these you are paralysed, there is no antivenom. You'll stop breating and die. The only cure is to put you on a respirator and wait many many hours for the poison to wear off.
They usually hunt crabs and the like by paralysing them and then sucking out their inards after breaking the shell with their beak.

It also looks like some kind of fucked up evil spider http://www.barwonbluff.com.au/bluff%20life/below%20waves/animals/inverts/molluscs/cephalods/images/blue%20ring%20octopus.jpg Coconut crabs however are like kittens... a trick used by Micronesians of the Line Islands to get a coconut crab to loosen its grip: "It may be interesting to know that in such a dilemma a gentle titillation of the under soft parts of the body with any light material will cause the crab to loosen its hold."

Just read that the cape Buffalo is responsible for more deaths in Africa each year than any other animal. Also the Asian cobra is responsible for most of the 50,000 snakebite deaths in India each year. FIFTY THOUSAND??!!

Well if you want the animal that causes most deaths we should be looking at the Mosquito. Only topped by Human Beings.
