I'll nominate the Killer Whale.
They're deadly, very clever and hunt in packs.
Fuck the Great White, the Killer Whale is the king of the sea.
I second the killer whale...after seeng footage of them swimming in a line to create a wave to wash a seal off of small flaoting piece of ice, to its death...genius.

Here's my entry - The Death's-Head Hawk Moth.

Well what can I say, you can't get harder than having a human skull on your chest! It was featured in Silence of the Lambs; it raids bee hives (suicidal for most creatures) and scares the living crap out of most people. It's also a popular tattoo:

Surely the hardest insect in the world!
I'll second some of that....

Bite your head off.
Either that or it's the best example of bin art I've ever seen.

It's clearly art as you can see a pic of a Big Mac right at the bottom... Edit: to be clear, I am joking.

That spider that lays its eggs inside your skin and then the little hatchlings kill you when they hatch. No idea what it's called though.

If nobody is going to second Homo Sapiens or it isn't allowed I'll go for the Aussie Saltwater Croc.

I propose the Malaysian Bollock Eating Monster. You'd not want to find one of those down your trousers, I can tell you.
