Did you mean games or films?

For films:

I think the answer is "it depends".

I can't see the PS3 being region unlocked. It will be region B assuming it is a legit UK model.

So you need to check which region(s) the disk is locked to. A is America, B is Africa and Euorpe, C is Asia. But some Blu ray titles are multi region A-B-C, or A-B.

So, basically if the particular Blu-Ray disk has region B encoding it will work, otherwise no.

I googled the following, but have no idea regarding its accuracy:

http://www.blu-ray.com/

I use this website all the time for checking region coding. Really handy for imported films, especially blu-ray concerts. Each Film has a region tab where you can see where it works, if its been tested and there is usually a note about if it works on a ps3.

Sorry to butt in on this thread, Tans but I have a question on blu ray discs as well.

If I buy a blu-ray disc as a present for someone who has a macbook pro, will they be able to play it on there?

Not unless its either got a built in blu ray drive (rare in any model older than 6 months old) or they plug in a blu ray player into the mac book.

PS macbooks are shit Cheesy

Apple haven't put a Blu Ray drive in any of their computers, there isn't even support in OS X.

PS Your Mac knowledge is shit.

Did you actually get an answer in the end mate? cos I have to admit to having no idea about region codes on blu rays.
