I would also recommend having a pre-match 'Football Special' at the chip shop 'The Frying Fish', which is just over the road from the ground. They get a bit busy on matchdays, but it's worth it.

Thanks for the advice! A good fish and chip shop for me is the ultimate england experience!

Is that the one sort of behind the fire station, maybe chinese owned ? If that's the one you mean, agree thats really good too and most of the time because it's a bit out of sight it's not half as busy.

Yeah, that's the one. Lovely stuff.

I know it's hard for people from abroad to get tickets. As a seasonticketholder it's possible for me to buy a few (max 4) seats extra. But not for all games (for example home games against feyenoord and psv). TicketUnlimited sells expensive tickets I know. Unfortunately I dont know any other legal ways of getting access. If you like Im willing to buy tickets for you? Just let me know.

Where were you last week?  Damn it.  Btw, does it rain every day in Amsterdam?

TBF I have a problem working out which is which....hence a recent conversation to clarify the Drove Road place. I have been known to use the Chapel Street Lidl...to purchase interesting tins of Norwegian fish.

The lax bit is apparently a word for salmon, rather than a purgative...I'm sure out resident Norwegians SY and NR can confirm.  You wouldn't want to be stood next to me in a bar mind after eating some...

Gravlaks in Norwegian. Laks (or lax) is indeed salmon. Grav is literally translated as grave or buried.

It's still probably nicer than lutefisk.
