TBF I have a problem working out which is which....hence a recent conversation to clarify the Drove Road place. I have been known to use the Chapel Street Lidl...to purchase interesting tins of Norwegian fish.

As someone previously said The Glue Pot in the town centre is a favourite along with The County Ground Hotel, which you cannot miss as it's 100 metres from the ground next to the car park.

Tim, if you come to the Legends lounge which is inside the stadium before the game I'll buy you and your Brother a pint to welcome you.

I know it's hard for people from abroad to get tickets. As a seasonticketholder it's possible for me to buy a few (max 4) seats extra. But not for all games (for example home games against feyenoord and psv). TicketUnlimited sells expensive tickets I know. Unfortunately I dont know any other legal ways of getting access. If you like Im willing to buy tickets for you? Just let me know.

Thanks for the offer.  I'll pm you nearer the time but will probably look to come across in Feb or March for one of NEC, Roda or RKC games.

I would also recommend having a pre-match 'Football Special' at the chip shop 'The Frying Fish', which is just over the road from the ground. They get a bit busy on matchdays, but it's worth it.

Also get into Swindon early as Wovers chavs have a bit of a reputation over the last few years against us and there will be a big police presence at the train station, which is just outside the town centre, and 10-15 mins walk to the ground.

Hey lads, I'm back on the forum now the match against rovers is getting closer. I bought two tickets online. The sale for this match has been online for one day. The day after I bought the tickets it wasn't possible anymore to buy the in the online ticketshop. Strange but true. I have to collect the tickets on the matchday.

You really helped me out with advices about the best boozers and chipies before the game! Thanks again. And since I became a member on this forum your team started to win most of the games  Cheesy  I hope to see the JPT cup too!

I have a last question for you. As already mentioned I will go to Swindon by train from Bristol Temple Meads station. But I want to avoid being escorted by the police with bristol fans who probably are on the train too. How late do you advice me to arrive in Swindon to avoid any problems? Thanks

Just a year, occasionally upfront for the latter stages of games.

Bart Griemink was another Dutch player who was here at the time. He's long since retired though.

He was a goalkeeper wasnt he? He's not very known in Holland because he spent most of his career in England.
And how about Etienne Esajas? How many appearances did he made so far this season? Not very much I reckon?

Esajas didn't work out.  Great reports in pre-season, but he was quickly overtaken in the pecking order, first by Lander Gabilondo (who himself has since been overlooked) and then by the likes of Luke Rooney.
