Nothing on net that I've found yet, suppose they'll get training out of the way first.

Well he seems like a really energetic player, you know the box to box type, has decent quality too.  He's only 21 and an ex-Arsenal trainee.

The good times are coming back!

Can play left-back and left midfield too, but I'm sure I saw him in the centre - perhaps he was just tucking in a lot. as Northampton were crap down the wings - actually Northampton were just crap.

i've signed him on champ manager a few times & he does look pretty good. no news coming out of STFC HQ about him though so will wait & see. just coz southend are guessing he's coming here doesnt mean its true. another potentially good signing though!

So we now have:

Jack Smith - sounds decent and versatile
Comyn-Platt - not really sure about him, but versatile
Shakes - sounds good, and again versatile
Whalley - sounds just plain class
Thorpe+Cureton - proven, will do well
Nicolau - looks good, and versatile
Possibly Smith - Strong, good professional, looks decent
(have I missed anyone)

So King has brought in some versatile youngsters to make sure we have cover throughout the season for all eventualities, they will have the stamina to be able to run a lot one would hope.

We also have some very experienced players in key areas, if we can keep this key element of the squad fit then we should be reasonably solid all season.

Think King has played a blinder this close season really, he's identified those key areas and brought in players that know their job inside out, for all other areas these younger players will be able to move around to fit into whichever system we play on whichever day, and will also be able to move around depending on squad injuries.

These younger players should also know that they will be unlikely to be featuring week in week out, so will be challenging eachother constantly to get their shout.

We are looking in a good way.

Quote from: "Shrimper Rival Site"

Are Swindon on a signing fest! They seem to want and have signed alot of players. How the hell will Nicolau get in their side. He didnt get in ours. Do these managers actually know about these players. He is ok, but realistically we will not miss him at all. He did a job at the end of the season for 3 games but that was it.

Obviously I'll make my own mind up. Maybe he needed a change or maybe he is this seasons Lloyd Oparah. Time will tell.
