Hahaha - These fans clearly didn't go to games against the likes of Atherstone United or Baldock Town back in the mid-90's did they!

Atherstone United were my local non-league side when I was a kid who I went to see quite regularly, I remember seeing Cheltenham in around 1996 at Sheepy Road, in the season they got promoted. Cotterill was there and from my memory they brought about 60-70, it was near the end of the season so they'd probably jumped on the promotion bandwagon.

I've also seen Crawley, Burton (Home and Away), and Accrington (Home) play Atherstone which makes the thought of playing these with Town rather depressing.

I know for sure that Cheltenham were equally livid about the original decision but presumably need to keep decent relationships with Glos police so have been circumspect in their announcements.

fucking hell - this almost pisses me off even more than the original decision.

i'm off down to bournemouth after the game and was going to meet up with a mate to go onto a birthday celebration from there.  when the postponement was announced i called said mate - who is in leatherhead - and said i would now be able to pick him up on route.  i've now had to call hime and tell him i can no longer do this and he'll now have to book a train, no doubt this will cost him extra now.

i wonder if glos police have any idea how far the consequences of this farce run...
