Is our own Sonic still there?

Hope he and our loon Norway Red are safe and sound.

Sounds like just one man at the moment but it just highlights the damage one or two individuals can do.

I noticed Jan Aage Fjortoft joined twitter, so started following him today. As a result I've been following his updates on the situation in Norway all afternoon - very sad indeed.

Death toll now over 80.  Tragedy on a terrible scale.  All you can do is offer your condolences to everyone affected by this.  I hope Sonic, NR and the people they know emerge unscathed.  Sadly, I think most people in Oslo are going to know someone affected by this is some way.

Sounds horrific on that island. Guy dresses as a policeman, gathers the kids together apparently to pass on some information about the bombing and then starts shooting.  Even shooting some of the ones who tried to swin to shore.

84 confirmed dead there and 7 from the bombing but they're still expecting that number to rise.

Terrible, terrible day.

Nobody that my girlfriend or myself know were involved directly but friends of my girlfriend's friends were on Utĝya.

Such a horrific and mindless thing to happen, so more surreal that it although we're 1,000 miles away it feels like it's happened on our doorstep.

Jan-Aage was interviewed for about 5 minutes on 5 Live last night - he lives just outside Oslo. He had been near the explosion. Spoke movingly about the situation and the need not to over-react. Sounded like a really decent, intelligent guy.

Right wing Christian fundamentalist.

Last night BBC had some professor of Religious Radicalisation from UCL saying it was most likely Al Qaeda and he based that on that it's 2.5 months since Bin Laden had been killed and it takes roughly that long to plan an attack. Fucking incredible.
