Doesn't sound like Di Canio is 100% convinced yet.  Maybe fitness doubts?

I dont see a problem with that. A player like this needs to be assessed over a good few weeks to get a proper idea of how match fit he is and see if picks us any knocks etc as well as assessing how good he actually is. I do like the sound of this lad though so hope he really has overcome his injury issues.

Very true nothing wrong with being cautious, Dossevi was a prime example of that last season.  The only downside though is it could potentially put him in the shop window and attract other clubs before we get a chance to sign him.

On  Ja606 some good and bad comments about Esajas. From Sheffield Wednesday fans. The comment that says he doesn't work hard enough caught my eye, can't see Paolo not picking up on players work rate !

My owls supporting brother in law says he is one of the laziest players he's ever seen..... but when he's in the mood he's a world beater.

Hopefully like a lot players when they get a bit older the penny might drop as to what has prevented them playing higher then they are. I'm sure PDC will be on his case as we can't afford to be carrying passengers in Div 4.

I agree.  Can't see Di Canio letting him get away with being lazy judging by how things have gone so far.  Hopefully the players will all want to work for each other so there will be no questions about anyone being lazy.

So if we sign him and he's lazy and Di Canio won't stand for that, we'll have another player who is practically useless to us on the books.

I think this will be a great signing for League 2 if it goes through mind.

Maybe some sort of performance related clause in the contract would sort that out. If he's keen to be given a chance then he would accept that.

We'll be the making of this lad. I reckon Paolo will turn him into League Two player of the year.
