Went up to Milton Keynes Bowl on Sunday to watch - Jimmy Eat World, Biffy Clyro and Foo Fighters!

First time ever going to the Bowl and it was pretty good. Managed to get myself and the missus into the inner pit. Anybody seen these bands before? I seen them quite a few times apart from Jimmy Eat World.

Biffy and Foo's played most of their usual songs but i wished they'd played some of the older Biffy stuff and more of the newer Foo's stuff. Can't grumble though as it was an awesome day out.

£4 a pint which i thought was reasonable but the food ridiculous - 1/4lb burger was £5.00

It's a sad era we live in when £4 a pint is acceptable...!

I'd have loved to have gone to that, those 3 bands are right up on my favourite lists, especially the Biff and Jimmy Eat World.

I went on the saturday, which was biffy and foos no JEW.  I've mentioned it on the gigs thread.  Foos were excellent, Biffy were also good.

Seen and worked with biffy loads of times.  They couldn't really do much old stuff as they only had an hour.  If you watch there full show they do stuff from all of the albums.  They've just released a live album / dvd which (which if you look in the credits you can see my name!) has stuff like 57, justboy, Jaggy snake, glitter and trauma, all the way down all on it.

I was there on the Saturday, Jimmy weren't there that day which was a shame as always wanted to see them.

I had the same problem £16 for 2 x Burgers & 2 x Fries, but I was prepared for a mugging beforehand.

Alice Cooper came out with the Foo's during the their encore, that pretty much sealed a great day out for me

I've never had the privilege of seeing them at their own show... must make sure i do so i get the full repetoir as i prefer their earlier stuff on the whole.

I agree but when i pint in Ciren in The Crown is £3.60 i don't think £4 at a concert is that bad in a way?!!

Seen a guy crowd surfing in a blow up boat - one of the funniest things i've ever seen - i'll try and post the video on here that i got.

Fair play GK_Nash - what work were you doing for them? MON THE BIFFY!!! It was a shame they only had an hour. Been a fan of their music for about 5-6 years now.

Seasick Steve came out at the end and played one song.

I was there Sunday, was a good day. When you say you wished they'd played more of the newer Foo's stuff, they did at least 6 off the new album, and did a good mix overall i think. They have so much to choose from that they're bound to do a lot of older stuff as well.

Maybe i forgot to mention that i was pretty pissed through-out the day!! I had to go for numerous pisses as well so probably missed some of it. Whoops!

Where abouts were you in the bowl?

I love Biffy's older stuff so much more than the newer stuff. The newest album isn't bad but that Many of Horror song with Matt Cardle....seriously WTF was that all about?

The first and third albums are crackers. A bit less on the commercial side but great albums.

I love the Foo's new album as well. Brilliant songs on there with some great riffs. Much better than Echoes Silence Patience and Grace which was a bit naff really.

Really gutted I missed this anyway. If they didn't put the tickets on sale at 9am when everyone is at work it would be much appreciated.

They had some touts hanging around outside. Spoke to a bloke who lives about 3 miles away from the bowl and he said he often wanders down and gets cheap tickets because touts can't rid of them.

I was production manager for a tour they did last year, but have been working with them for years as promoters rep for their uk gigs.
