Well, the numbers are certainly increasing now.I don't think Knight is a great loss. Onwards and upwards.

Has left after 2 days trainning, just not fit enough.

Obviously I'm happy at this news for non football reasons. But if he wasn't up to it for football reasons there can't be any complaints.

He's grown up. He's matured. He really wants to prove himself this time, last chance saloon.

Turns up to training unfit...

Some mature footballer.

Surely the whole point of pre season training is to get fit.  Think there is more to this story than meets the eye.

Its a trifle odd because as people point out, there is along way to the start of the season. I read somewhere that Knight didn't want to go to Italy, and he had other offers. Now I think that this was from the football rumours website so probably BS, but it makes more sense!

Perhaps it was polite speak for his legs have gone.

Why would Knight agree to turn up knowing that the club were going to Italy if he didn't want to go?

I lean towards the notion that he's had a couple of years outside the football league and it's noticeable.

Nah. Makes perfect sense. A professional footballer would have a core fitness. Pre-season is just to get it back up to speed after a few weeks relaxing.

Knight hasn't been involved at any decent level for so long, he's obviously let himself go. A true professional with ambitions of getting back into league football would have been keeping his levels up.

As di Canio said when he arrived Fitness is a big thing for him, if they aren't fit next year they wont play.

No excuse for not keeping himself properly fit even without a club, Ifil hasn't got a club and I see him every morning either cycling or jogging by my house to keep himself fit.

I expect fitness is an indication of attitude as well.
