Yeah, that's right, Reg, I've used a capital D!

Alright, alright, it's a poll that doesn't really mean anything, and judging by the number of Di Canio (Yeah, that's right, Reg, I've done it again!) avatars that have sprung up recently I think it's obvious that the majority are pretty excited about his appointment.

I guess I'm curious as to the level of uncertainty and dissatisfaction with the appointment. Don't get me wrong I don't want to start up some whole debate about what's already been discussed, nor am I trying to put the kibosh on people's buzz, but I'm just interested.

I'm firmly in the nursing a boner category.

None of the above? Don't like his Politics (but not going to stop me supporting Swindon) but think he'll do a good job.

Fair enough, that's an option I hadn't considered. I've added something along those lines

Cautiously optimistic.

Easy to get carried away, and we will know a lot more once we see what he does in the transfer market and after the first few games of the season - but no alarm bells ringing that's for sure.

I feel I should just verify that the boner I am nursing is definitely my own.

I think the Adver should reproduce this poll.

Of course, by this point I'd blown my load all over the "Cautiously Optimistic" option.

Cautiously optimistic.

I spent a few days arguing with myself over whether his politics were reason enough to stop attending matches and realised that it didn't matter that much - I just want to support the club.

He has talked a good game so far, but needs a bit of luck in the transfer market and to find the magic "team spirit".

Cautiously optimistic.  I could have ticked the final option as well (Don't like politics but will get behind him), but didn't.

What about an "I'm going to throw a strop and delete my account" option?

I think that's covered in option 5.

To be fair to those that did delete their accounts, if they felt that strongly about it then the last thing they'll want to do is read a bunch of people spunking off about how great *Di Canio is

I can understand why they'd want to stay away

*Yeah, that's right, Reg! Read it and weep, it's a  hat-trick..

How about the "I don't like his politics, or keeping lions in cages" option.

Yeah, or while we're at it what about a "I don't like his politics, but he's got a cool accent and I think he's a natty dresser" option?

What about a 'I fucking love his politics, I'm just not sure about his management skills' option?
