Sad day indeed for me,growing up this lady,her band were the ones,now i know she/they were not everyones cup of tea and that is understandable,saw them live three times and were the best live band i ever saw back them.

Identity,Germ Free Adolescent and many more,my particular favourite, I'm A Cliche were great new wave punk sounds...The Spex were under rated on account of Poly being the big flambouoyant front girl.

Yes,many will be saying who?...not me, at a time when i had many troubles in life she and X RAY SPEX made me smile.

R.I.P Poly Styrene.

With you there leefer. Greatly underrated IMO, fine band, turned out a decent tune that was well crafted as well as hitting a few nails on the head. RIP

P.S. Anyone got a copy of Generation Indigo - Her new album. Heard a couple of tracks on Youtube and its brilliant!
