I'd happilly see another few of those go - both keepers, JPM, Timlin and Dougie. If Dougie stays then would he be skipper - based on Watkins comments probably not. He's also presumably have to take a pay cut so given both of these will he ust be going thruogh the motions or will he be committed.
I'm happy to ship them out, give the youngsters a chance and see what happens.
I'm not looking at promotion next year but some sort of stabilising with a few green shoots.

Kennedy and Thompson are both good enough to step up.

Storey looked pretty useful in the short run outs he had at the end of the season and he's not even on a pro contract.

Think people may have forgotten just how shit League Two is.

How do you know Kennedy and Thomson are good enough to step up?

We want promotion fast. If they fit the bill then great.

My one concern at the moment is the number of people in the squad that we are counting he will probably not be good enough, every year people count these sort of players but they just fill up the squad or are youths, like

scott
kennedy
evans
thompson
Bodin
pavett
storey

Bodin may have a chance, kennedy was crap at both loan clubs in this league and i dont see the others featuring. so we really have

lucas
smith

manks
flint - inexperienced
devera

smith - inexp
Ritchie
ferry
dougie - hopefully!
jp/tims unlikely

benyon

thats 9 players that are good enough to mount a challenge, and two of those have barely played in the league.

Know now is not the time to panic, but preseason in two weeks could be interesting to start with, be lucky to play 5 a side games!

Benjon will be gone also in my opinion.

From watching them play. I'd be more than happy with them as first choice left and right back.

I agree. With a new manager who will be learning the ropes and pretty much a whole new team I'd be happy just to make the play offs. Some fans I've spoken to think we just need to turn up to win the league and I'm worried how patient they will be if we struggle a bit early on.

Updated with latest comings and goings. If I've missed anything let me know.

Can you not just delete those players that have gone?

Seeing loads of names is confusing me.

Thought it said somewhere that Misun didn't actually sign. So therefore he doesnt have a contract until 2013.

OK so you watch the reserves. That gives a bit more credibility. I still say we have to be a bit careful as the gap between stiffs and firsts does exist.

I've never seen them play other than  Kennedy in the odd fleeting appearance in the firsts. Obviously that is not enough to judge him on. What I saw though was potential, but not quite there to challenge dSheehan or Rose. Its good that you think he's progressed since then.

Done.

Anyone know what contracts Evans, Clark and Said have got? I've seen conflicting information for them.

I'm led to believe Evans is out of contract but the club have an option to extend for a further year.

Leefer proved correct then Benyon gone!

No news on Timlin, sounds like he will be off

JP to carlisle to happen soon?

that leaves 8 outfield players excluding youths and assuming dougie stays, and two of those have never/barely played in the league. So we need maybe 8/9 more?

I'm going to stick my neck our and suggest that Di Canio and the board know how many players make a team.
