Never in my life have I seen so many police in one area! The amount of police required to look after 300 or so protestors was ridiculous!

So much for the peaceful protests

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/4646491.stm

Least I got to stare out of the window most of the day and leave early. Seemingly an intruder infiltrated one of our buildings and the staff had to be moved to the top floor whilst the police reprimanded him! Sometimes you wonder what these people are capable of!!

They had 60 officers up from Wilts this week. Thats how big an operation it is. 1984 all over.

Anyone remmember the may day riots about 5 years ago? The one where they trashed 4 or 5 mcdonalds. Anti capitalist got into some city institutions and there was TV pictures of city traders fighting lefties to save these buildings from getting trashed. Fair play to them, I wouldnt let anyone trash my employers property.

What makes them think that vandalism and minor hooliganism will help their cause?  Fucking idiots.

I went on a protest once, it was only a small one, however there were around 50 police there and also about 10 news van things, central news, bbc, sky and some papers with loads of tv cameras.

It was on sky, points west, central news, look south? and a couple of other news programs, in the evening advertiser, standard and western daily press and on the bbc website.

They made it out to be huge.
