Now 6 points from safety with 4 to go. And the two teams immediately above the dotted line have 5 goals on us.
And so I'd say any lingering hopes are gone. With that in mind I hope its a swift confirmation of our demise at the Wendies.

So all the games in hand others around us had have finally disappeared and to be honest at one point it looked like the gap would be much bigger than it is. If only we'd manged to grind out a couple of home wins against our fellow strugglers, things could have been oh so different. Makes the whole situation even more pathetic that we couldn't have given it a bit more of a fight. I reckon it'll go down to the last game of the season for the 21st and 22nd places. Reg's prediction some weeks ago of us finishing completely rock bottom is looking more and more likely. I'm starting to wish I'd put a bet on it and at least recouped some of the money I've wasted on watching this utter tripe. It's all very sad really  |
