I'm old enough to  remember it....but for some reason it passed me by.....probably the old man wanted to watch something on the other channel.

I was a fan of Patrick McGoohan from his Danger Man series.....ace theme tune.

The village was Port Meirion.....the baby of Clough Williams Ellis......who sounds like 3 managers.

It was a most surreal series - an ego trip for Patrick Mghoohan. I've watched as a kid, as a a teenager and as an adult and I still don't understand it.
It's different and I loves it , wouldn't get made now.
I stayed in Port Meirion - in the village and everybody goes home at 6pm and you get it all to yourself - I still wouldn't go down to the beach though - fucking great big durex chasing after you and suffocating you - aaargh.

I watched this as a kid and didn't understand it but was absolutely terrified by the "rover" (big white bouncy thing).  I have now got the boxed set of the series and have watched them and understand the point a bit better now.  Still scared a bit by the rovers though.......  Been to Portmeirion twice and it was a surreal experience to see all the buildings and the beach.  Well worth a visit though if you liked the series.

The chap who runs the official fan club website was at Uni the same time as me.

We bullied him so much he tried to top himself.

Twice.
