Pretty horrible seeing cars on the road trying but failing to escape the Tsunami.

The recent NZ earthquake was 6.3 on the Richter scale, making this one @8.9 400 times more powerful - assuming my maths are right (10^2.6).

One confirmed. There's three others that could be. How bad does a day get when the earthquake you started out with actually doesn't seem so bad next to the tsunami that hits you as a consequence and you then have to start worrying about your reactors going all Three Mile Island on you? The footage the BBC have been showing is horribly compelling.

To be honest, I am not sure the penguins crashing that plane was 100% accurate...

Reports of 200-300 bodies being washed up in one small area alone. This looks like it's going to get into the thousands dead. Poor bastards.
