I would love Ipswich to get promotion, primarily because its likely we'll get some cash if they do.  It would be good to see if Parkin can hack it in the Prem also.

what blackcurrant said.

I want them and Parkin to do well purely for STFC's financial benefit.

I agree with Mex on this. I couldn't care less if Sam Parkin scores 1 or fucking 30 goals for Ipswich. I certainly do not care less if they get promotion or not. In fact I hope they get fucking relegated. I think some fans should be more focused on supporting their own club and not a player, who at the end of the day wanted to leave.

Players come and players go. PLEASE, get the fuck over it.

Is there anything wrong with hoping for a cash windfall on their promotion?

No.

Do we get a cash windfall if they get promotion? I've not read that anywhere.

Also is there anything wrong with revering the best player we've had for nion a decade?

We all still drool over memories of Fjortoft, and Don Rogers, and as a nation we all still fondly remember the great players of the past.

Just because SSP doesn't play for us any more doesn't mean we should dismiss him all together.  In 10 - 15 years time we'll all be saying he was one of the best strikers we've had at the club in the majority of our lifetimes.

Of course I'd like to see us get some cash if they're promoted. But you have to agree, some of the reaction to Parkins transfer is pathetic.

It's a matter of opinion isn't it. In my book Parkin isn't one of the greats.

well yeah, some of it is bordering on the homo-erotic. :fag:

Personally I'll remember him as the best player of the last 5 years. Is he as good as Fjortoft or Rodgers for example? no.

I'll be keeping an eye on Parkin's career away from Swindon. Be fair to the guy he's said the first he'll do when he finishes a match is check how Swindon have done.

I for one believe him.

But in comparison to the team he played in compared to tham he's better than those two - if you catch my drift. :?
